Saturday, I watched Anna and Owen for Karalynn and Tim while they shopped. Then when Tim and Karalynn came home, I stayed and had lunch with them. Bob was out hunting pheasants with his uncle Ken at the family farm, so I was able to stick to my own agenda, which included watching the movie Finding Nemo with them. I had never seen Finding Nemo before and while I only saw part of it, what I did see was very cute and I will have to make a point of watching the whole thing next time. At some of the sadder or scarier parts, Anna would look at me as if to see my reactions; just then her mom looks over at me the same way. So funny, they both had that same expectant look on their face like, "Now watch, it's a shark!" I chuckled to myself as I watched the similarities. I didn't get to see the whole thing because we stopped the movie at nap time and Nana did have some errands to run. But just sitting there with Anna near me, her thumb in her mouth and blankie by her side, enjoying the movie was so wonderful. Love these Nana moments.
Another one of Anna's favorite movies is Charlotte's Web.
Both Anna and Owen are so smart. I love to watch Anna's reactions to this movie. She knows right when Templeton the rat will say, "EWWWWW!" and will say it with him. Or when Wilbur is alone at night waiting for Fern to come and say good night, but she does not come and he is sadly standing by the fence hollering, "G'night! G'NIGHT!". Anna hollers back, "Nigh-Night, Pig!" So cute.
