New August Desktop & a Faith over Fear lesson

I love these cute, monthly computer desktops that Karalynn makes and sends to me. Here is the one for August. {click on it twice to enlarge and see what I get to look at every time I am at the computer...} :)

NOW...
Here is a scripture lesson I have for you...Today's Truth "Satan is a liar and the father of lies" (John 8:44 NIV).
Have you ever been worried about something and later discovered you had simply let your imagination run wild?
How are worry and faith in opposition to each other?
If you answered "YES" to question number 1, and/or do not know the answer to the second question, Read 2 Corinthians 10:3-6. Are there any thoughts that you need to take captive today?
Let's Pray: Dear Lord, I know that fear is many times just false evidence-appearing-real. You always help me dust for the enemy's fingerprints of worry that try to overtake my life. You always help me to stand on your promises, oh God. Thank you! I believe I am an overcomer in every area, today! I choose to continue to bring every thought Captive to the obedience of Your Word, Lord and I pray this in Jesus' Name, Amen.
2nd Corinthians 10: 3-6 says: "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete."

Darling desktop and wonderful faith lesson...just what I needed today! Oh how our thoughts try to bring on the worst fears; thanks for reminding me to bring every thought captive to the obedience of God's Word!
