Okay...a little April Fools Joke there for you, to see if you are awake! LOL!
April 1, holds a very special memory for me as thirty years ago today, my precious husband asked me to be his bride. I had to wait until the following day to get all excited about it, for fear it might have been an April Fools day joke; but it wasn't and we were married six months later.
As for the best April Fools Joke, here is my favorite:
Every April Fools Day my twin sister, Marcia and I switched places in school. We couldn't do it every year in grade school, as we thought our teachers would remember from the previous years; but in high school, we had different teachers, so then we were able to switch every year. If we did share a teacher, we switched desks. I remember our Freshman year History class, the last hour of the day; during the very last few minutes of class, our teacher, Mr. Kozel, was bragging that no one had caught him in an April Fools joke all that day. There we were, my twin and I, sitting in opposite desks, as he is telling us how no one could pull the wool over his eyes...blah, blah, blah. After his little 'patting himself on the back' speech, I looked at Marcia and she looked at me and nodded to each other, stood up at the same time and switched back to our own desks and said, "April Fools, Mr. Kozel!!" You should have seen his face. I wished I caught it on film. It was priceless.

you switched places in school? That is so cool.. sounds so "parent trap"!!
That is so neat that this is when uncle Bob asked to Marry you... awesome!!!!
I always feel bad this has to be Wyatt's Birthday... he must get teased so bad at school.
Happy engagement anniversary! It's funny how you fooled your teacher...I've never been good at that, but I've, unfortunately been fooled many a time by my students! ;)
That is pretty cool how Bob proposed to you.
My favorite prank was toasting pound cake then putting orange frosting between 2 pieces to look like a grilled cheese sandwich. I told Dani that she hadn't eatten enough for dinner and gave it to her. She still talks about it and asks each year for me to trick her again.
Yes, LOL! Those Plaid jumpers, white blouses, white knee high socks, black patten leather shoes, comb my bangs from the right to the left with lots of Dippity Doo to hold them...oh yeah I remember it well!! 3 years in a row. Then the teacher called on me (you) and you forgot you were me so you didn't reply right away - there's me, sitting in your desk squirming away... trying to get your attention "psssst that's you, marie...pssst - answer the question! Don't get me introuble!" and you'd quickly respond with the answer and it was the right one, and I would have given a different answer so you made me look slow, but good that year! That was in Miss (Driven Kooky)Olson's English class.
What fun!
Thanks for the Foolish memory!
