We thought that the weather would act more like spring,
We thought winter was over as the birds began to sing!
We thought since our tulips were blooming so nice,
we were through with the winter, the snow and the ice;
But, we live in a state, where no mercy is given,
to any living thing where icey winds are driven.
Time is on our side, though, and we will not be sad,
For the ice will soon melt and the flowers and I will be glad!
Then...
I wondered why our Easter saw more snow than our Christmas!
I thought spring would stay and the cold weather would miss us.
Then, the song "Whiter Than Snow" came into my mind
and I realized there was no better time...
to reflect on the glory of the cleansing blood of Christ;
that washed our sins away & made our hearts right!
Yes, I can see the promise of resurrection in these blooming flowers
and the snow on the tulps, stands for His cleansing power.
