Give The Angel a Hand

Today, I set up my fairly new nativity set and found a little change to the setup... my angel was missing a hand... quite a clean break, actually and quite unsightly! I spent a good 20 minutes looking for the missing appendage only to come up with nothing. {Sigh...} If I were able to find it, I would super glue it. Like I said, it is a fairly new nativity set, only about 3 years old. Rather took a little joy out of a task I normally take great delight in doing, this time of year. It started to really bother me; almost to the stage where I didn't want to set up the rest; or at least leave the handicapped angel out of the scene. But before I could totally lose my joy over the situation, I realized this incident should not take away from the the Nativity story; there was, after all, each of the other porcelain figures there, all in one piece; but I still couldn't help being disappointed. God would like us to stay all in one piece, too, especially at this busy Christmas season. I don't know about you, but I think Jesus would not care if the angel was missing a hand; but if I lose my joy over it; it would take away from the real meaning of the nativity message...SO, I decided to set it up; missing hand and all; and rejoice in the true message of this Nativity Set. Jesus, came to bring JOY TO THE WORLD... my world, too, if I let Him!
